Welcome to FYI Dance Club, Wicklow

Located in WicklowTown and Rathnew, we specialise in Stage Dance (Lyrical, Modern Theatre, Contemporary) and Streetdance (Hip Hop Foundation, Breaking, Locking, Popping, Waving, Gliding), building expressive and creative foundations from babies to young adult.

Street Dance and Breaking‍

Dance enthusiasts who want to pop, lock, break and glide can learn the skills and foundations of Hip Hop and Street Dance. Students have an amazing opportunity to learn from a pro dancer- turned- accredited streetdance teacher!

These classes foster maturity, dedication and commitment, the reward for students will be the ability to freestyle and express their individual style confidently, while learning to link moves together to create authentic and unique Street Dance performance pieces.

Stage Dance

These classes use a combination of technical exercises and explorative themes to strengthen and train students for performance work while providing an outlet to explore personal expression and find a unique dance language.

Students are given the opportunity to explore Lyrical, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz and Musical Theatre styles to grow and develop their natural expression and creativity.

Dance + Play

For our younger dancers (4-7 years) we enhance our dance lessons with play designed to encourage physical literacy and creative development. We understand that young children learn through stories and play and have found this is the most fun way to introduce children to skills-based movement.
Designed with the students, we incorporate music they like, circuits to develop friendships and social skills and exercises to learn turn-taking, listening and individual expressiveness.

Dance + Play for 4-6 years uses movement concepts to introduce children to dance appropriate, for their devlopmental stage.
Hip Hop + Play for 5-7 years begins to introduce students to named moves leading towards Streetdance elements
Stage Dance 2 for 6-8 years introduces students to expressive skills using modern, lyrical and contemporary contexts.

Youth Dance Company

Learn the mindset and techniques behind becoming the best performer you can be. Engage in advanced choreography with a like-minded focused and disciplined team to perform at Youth Dance Festivals and other performance opportunities across Ireland. Best suited for students who love dance as their No. 1 activity in their schedule. All students must be taking another technique class at FYI during the week. This programme requires the highest level of commitment and dedication and provides plenty of opportunities to develop essential transferable life-skills such as budgeting, commitment, follow-through, team-work, fundraising and personal responsibility.

Gracie has been with Zoe for 6+ years now and she has done many many camps. I just can't fault anything Zoe puts together. I would highly recommend FYI camps and indeed classes for any child. Gracie has grown in confidence and skill. She attends the Thursday class but also the special dance crew on a Friday. Zoe runs a professional dance group who are equally as good as any group in the country but I think there is more in thats it's like a family aswell.
